As many will know, the final dates for submitting applications for aid under the Investment 2.3 call change for so many regions “Innovation and mechanization in the agriculture and food sector” – Submeasure “Modernization of agricultural machinery to enable the introduction of precision farming techniques,” including those proposed by Ecofarm for the livestock and vegetable sector.

Masaf also eliminated the investment cap previously set at 70,000 euros, while the 35,000-euro contribution limit remains.

For most regions, the application deadline is now May 31, 2024. The only exceptions are Basilicata and Emilia Romagna, which have set a deadline of May 10, 2024, while Molise and Trentino al Adige have not yet set extension deadlines.

scottone alimentazione Ecofarm balloni ad alta densità

It changes everything! The High Density Ballon Revolution. The experience of La Bottega della Sorana

For three generations, at La Bottega della Sorana they have been raising scottone destined for the production of premium cuts of meat, now available in their retail store.

In order to obtain healthy meat with excellent appearance and nutritional properties, care infeeding the cattle is meticulous.

Orkel technology, introduced through collaboration with Ecofarm, has made it possible to permanently replace classic feed with a diet composed of only raw materials that are healthier for the animals.

Alfalfa and other nutrients are harvested at their best nutritional time and stored in high-density bale to maintain quality, free of mold and mildew because, with this system, fermentations do not develop.

Alberto Pozzan told us about the advantages of using high-density silage, how it has improved the welfare of the animals raised and, consequently, the final product obtained.

Quality feeding for dairy cows with high-density baleen. Breeding Elisa tells the benefits

Feed quality is critical to preserving the welfare of farm animals.

For this, theElisa Breeding of Sant’Anna d’Alfaedo (Verona). resorts to the innovative high-density bales designed by Orkel and made available by Ecofarm. Through this technology, animal nutrients are optimally preserved, avoiding waste or loss of product and preserving freshness.

This has an impact on the health of the animals, which improves considerably, as Giambattista Benedetti of Allevamento Elisa, which has been involved with dairy cows since 1986, told us.

The benefits have been enormous, especially in terms of animal health: we have greatly decreased treatments for mastitis and lameness. So the economic feedback was also beneficial and the use of antibiotics was reduced” – stated.

Giambattista gives his cows’ milk to the Trento Milk Dairy, of which he is a partner, for the production of cheese and other foods.

Thanks to the high-intensity bales, not only are the animals doing well, but the dairy products made from them are of excellent quality.
